Teignbridge District Council is changing the way in which members of the public comment on planning applications via Public Access on their website. From Wednesday 12 June when you want to add a comment/support/object you will be prompted to log into your Teignbridge My Account (or register if you don’t already have one) which will then link with Public Access as a once only step. You can then submit your comments whenever you are logged into your My Account and will receive an email confirming receipt of the comments which will immediately upload to the website, without having to wait for them to be manually added.
There will be a new facility for users to report any inappropriate comments. As soon as a comment is reported it will be hidden until the Planning Authority can review it. This review may result in the comment being removed totally, edited then republished or accepted as it is. Once they have made this decision no further reports can be made for that comment.
As well as submitting comments members of the public will be able to save searches and request notifications of status changes on applications.
